Our Practice Philosophy
In today’s hustle and bustle society, it is easy to overlook one’s own needs and well-being. Symptoms of anxiety, depression, and mental illness can substantially impair our capacity to function effectively in the workplace, at home, and in social settings.
As psychiatrist and physician, we strive to understand each patient as an individual, with a unique background, set of priorities, social circumstances, co-occurring psychiatric and medical conditions, and patterns of thinking and relating to others.
As such, we work collaboratively with our patients in designing a personalized treatment plan to effectively target symptoms and reduce suffering. In some cases, this involves use of psychotropic medications; whereas for others, psychotherapy alone may be optimal. Often, we utilize a combination of both medication and therapy to best address my patients’ needs.
